I know it's just a matter of time before they drill it, but the news about the Senate blocking the passage of the Arctic drilling + defense bill made my otherwise groggy morning.

On the subject of oil, my brother and I saw Syriana this past weekend and I highly recommend it. It made me feel a bit hopeless about the state of big business but it's an illuminating film.
